One of the questions we hear most often at A+ Test Prep and Tutoring is, Which test should I take ââ¬â the SAT or the ACT? Both students and parents continually express confusion about whether to take one of the standardized tests over the other, or whether taking both the SAT and the ACT would be most beneficial. The SAT and the ACT differ significantly in the following areas: Test section type Average time expected for each section Content type within each section (For example: the SAT does not have a standalone Science section; there are Science questions peppered throughout the other sections, whereas the ACT has a dedicated 40-question Science section.)
